Over the last few years, there has been a significant increase in the number of new therapeutics approved for the treatment of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers. The application of these therapeutics has the potential to significantly impact patient care and improve patient outcomes; however, proper application of these new approaches and modalities requires a careful analysis of patient-, disease-, and treatment-related factors.

The increasingly complex treatment milieu is marked by limited sequencing or combination trials, an increasingly complex understanding of disease pathophysiology and genomic profiling, and emerging therapeutics with novel mechanisms of action. Understanding the available treatments, both current and emerging, and how these agents interface with disease pathophysiology to drive a more personalized medicine approach is important for all health care professionals involved in the care of patients with genitourinary malignancies. Through an interdisciplinary discussion led by Stanford University expert urologists, radiation therapists, and medical oncology faculty in the field of genitourinary cancers, topics ranging the spectrum from localized to disseminated disease will provide the most up-to-date information, approach, and practical management considerations, which in turn will help to optimize patient outcomes. Further, inclusion of Tumor Board and Debate Discussions during the live symposium will facilitate an engaging and interactive experience for participants.

Target Audience:

This symposium is designed to meet the educational needs of health care professionals involved in the treatment of patients with genitourinary malignancies.
